Highlighted: the lines this signal was extracted from

My wife recently took over our pizza parlor operations from me and shifted our DoorDash and UberEats from tablets to integration. She’s running into an issue with prep times and drivers showing up far too early. UberEats says times need to be set in Toast. Toast says they need to be set in UberEats. DoorDash was fine yesterday, but today it no wait times at all. Drivers are showing up minutes after an order is received instead of about 30 minutes later. Support has not been very helpful at all so far. Have any of you fine folks had a similar issue? If so, how’ve you resolved things?

  • “We too ran into this issue. After a multi-month battle between DoorDash / UberEats and Toast pointing fingers at each other. DoorDash and UberEats admitted that they do not look at Toast's prep times and run off their own algorithms.”

  • “There should be a setting in toast for prep time. Toast also has AI for prep time you can use. But also there is a setting that tells drivers food is ready when you clear order from KDS. That can be toggled on/off.”

    u/Leftoverloser1 points · Oct 28, 2026View

  • “The back and forth between the apps and Toast is the part that would drive me nuts. If DoorDash is just running its own algorithm anyway, no wonder the setting never sticks.”

Unfortunately, it’s not a perfect science, but if you know that you typically run a 35- minute wait time on Friday between 5 and 8 PM, go ahead and schedule that on both platforms and it will automatically do it for you.\n\n T",
