We used to have MDM v7 and recently changed to v10, which I think is great, however I think I remember being able to add drivers easily to the packages through the GUI (and possibly remove, but unsure). This doesn't seem to be a feature of v10 though. Am I misremembering? We have a package for HP Elitebook 8 G1a 14 inch AI PC, but we're having issues with audio and the package is failing to install, referring to DISM "An error occurred...Continuing with warning code 2:..." The DISM log hasn't really help but I'm not familiar with it. The only things that look like errors are "Failing to create session classID..." and "Lookup in table by path failed...." So I thought perhaps the audio which needs a manual reinstall after imaging to work, might be the reason the package was failing so tried to mount the .wim using dism to remove the drive but am just hitting error 2 and being unable to access the image. Anyone had similar issues?

  • “I believe MDM uses the enterprise Driver package which includes typically older drivers, I recommend creating a new Driver package, but with manually downloaded drivers for each device making sure to get the latest available from the vendors website. It’s time-consuming but guarantees you get a more recent set of drivers. Alternately, apply the factory image, then login , run a full scan with Dell”

  • “Have you tried rebuilding a new driver package for that model? Have you tried using the sccm driver pack made by hp vs using hpcsml which pulls latest drivers and see if it works”
