We are still pretty new to festivals and both ones we have done had awful signal by the food trucks. Readers would just spin and the line kept getting longer while everyone stood there waiting. Want to fix it before the next one. is a hotspot on another carrier good enough or do people actually bring their own wifi setup? fello keeps popping up when i look into event wifi, but i did rather hear from people who have dealt with it at a festival.

  • [comment u/Odd_Sir_8705] Starlink is undefeated. I've had my trucks invited to mining areas where there is ZERO reception from any type of mobile hotspot and raked in money while other trucks had to go back home

  • [comment u/PiroshkyGuy] Starlink solved this problem for me and now it's my main network connection for all events. Super stable (if not a bit cumbersome to set up/teardown) and the lower data package was pretty close to what I paid thru Verizon's hotspots.

I've had my trucks invited to mining areas where there is ZERO reception from any type of mobile hotspot and raked in money while other trucks had to go back home and learn the hard way.”

  • “Offline mode is the real fix. Square definitely has it and a few of the others do too: the reader stores the card payment and processes it once you get signal back. Turn it on and test it at home with the wifi off before the next event, because it usually has to be switched on in the app first. The catch is you carry the risk if a card declines when it syncs, so some people cap the order value the”

I initially got the unlimited roaming plan to see if bandwidth would be a problem, but even at my longest event (basically all of September), i didn't come close to”
