I've got a client in a rural area who is having very, very low cell phone signal. And I'm looking at getting a cell phone booster for them. Does anybody have any recommendations? This is on the Verizon Network, if that matters.

  • [comment u/Listen2TheMusicPlay] Hands down - Verizon network extenders. They'll create a cell signal from thin air, not boost one. They only work with Verizon and Verizon MVNO's, but they're great.

  • [comment u/QuesoMeHungry] You want a femtocell if they already have reliable internet. It basically creates a mini Verizon cell tower using their existing internet as backhaul. Verizon sells them.

  • “From experience of researching this rabbit hole for clients.... it's FAR FAR easier just to get reliable WiFi blanketing the site and having them use WiFi calling. Dealing with the realities of pinning up signals for all the carriers, and keeping up with their spectrum changes, is a nightmare. You don't want to be in the cell booster game unless this is all you do. Even places that do it on a larg”

  • “Before you pick a model I would check the signal outside the building first, not inside. A booster only amplifies what the outdoor antenna can already hear, so if there is basically nothing outside, you will just be amplifying noise and the client will still drop calls. If they do have a usable signal outside and decent broadband inside, the Verizon extender route the other comment mentioned is wo”
