Q: When I’m in the Autobound UI and I click into the sequence, why do I see prospects that “Failed to generate content”?
A: There are many reasons a prospect may fail content generation. In general, a best practice is to try again and if the issue persists, report it to support@autobound.ai.
Q: I added prospects to a sequence in Outreach but the contacts Sequence status is now “failed” or “Paused”. What do I do?
A: If a prospect’s sequence status in Outreach is “Failed” or “Paused,” here’s why:
Why It Fails:
Disconnected Sequence – The sequence was deleted in Autobound but still exists in Outreach. Ensure it’s still linked.
Outreach Not Authenticated – If Outreach isn’t properly authenticated in Autobound, content won’t push. Check your settings.
Premature Activation – Manually starting the sequence before Autobound finishes generating content can cause failure. Wait until content is ready.
Why It Gets Paused:
Content Review Setting (“Direct Push OFF”) – If your sequence requires manual content approval in Autobound, it pauses until you review and approve emails.
Content Still Generating (“Direct Push ON”) – If content isn’t ready when Outreach reaches an Autobound step, the sequence pauses until generation completes. Once done, Autobound reactivates it.
Q: How do credits work?
A: Each generated content item consumes 2 credits.
• If your output quantity is set to 3 in the chrome extension, each generation will use 6 credits (3 × 2).
• If a sequence includes 3 AI-generated emails, adding a contact will consume 6 credits (3 × 2).
• When using the API:
• Generating insights only: 1 credit per request.
• Generating content: 2 credits per request.
Q: How can I change my login email address?
A: Autobound currently has no way of doing this. We suggest creating a new account with your new email.
Q: How do I change the company name I'm selling on behalf of?
A: If you’re changing your company name, we recommend restarting the onboarding flow:
1. Go to the Content Hub.
2. Click “Scan my Website & Build my Content Hub with AI” in the top right.
Alternatively, you can update your Team Default Value Prop to change the company name. However, you may need to manually update it in all value props, which is why restarting the onboarding flow is the easiest option.
