Overview
The Autobound Chrome Extension integrates AI-driven personalization directly into your sales workflow, allowing you to generate and send personalized content without leaving your browser, enhancing your productivity across various sales platforms.
Installation
Visit the Chrome Web Store using this link: Autobound - ChatGPT for Sales
Click on "Add to Chrome" to install the extension.
Follow the prompts to complete the installation process.
Compatibility
The Autobound Chrome Extension works with a wide range of sales tools, including:

Gmail
Salesforce
HubSpot
Apollo

And many more
If you find that the extension doesn't work on your preferred sales platform, please contact Autobound support, and they can add compatibility quickly.
Accessing the Chrome Extension
There are multiple ways to access the Autobound Chrome Extension:
1. Automatic Email or LinkedIn Detection: Look for the blue Autobound icon that appears next to email addresses or LinkedIn URLs on supported platforms. When accessed this way, it will automatically look up the prospect via the email or LinkedIn URL.
2. Right side of your browser: Click the Autobound icon on the right side of your browser. If you’re on a LinkedIn Profile, it should open up for that prospect. If there are multiple email addresses/LinkedIn URLs visible, you’ll have the option to select multiple and add them to a sequence.
3. Browser Toolbar: Click the Autobound icon on the right side of your browser toolbar or at the top right of your page next to your extension pins.
4. Within Sales Tools:
In Outreach, Salesloft, and Gmail, you can find the Autobound icon on the left side of your compose window. It will dynamically grab the email address of the person you're emailing and look them up when clicked.
The blue Autobound logo can be found in many other places within these tools as well.
For other supported tools, look for the blue Autobound logo throughout the interface.
If you don't see these options, you can manually enter the email or LinkedIn URL of the prospect you want to generate content for by clicking the extension open and entering those details.
Using the Chrome Extension
Multiple Prospects View
If multiple prospects are visible on the page, Autobound will display a list of all the email addresses or LinkedIn URLs found on the page. This view allows you to:
Select multiple prospects to add to an Autobound sequence in bulk.
Choose a specific prospect to generate content for individually.

Open the Autobound extension
Select the prospects you want to add.
Click the "Add to Sequence" option.
Choose the desired sequence.
Confirm the addition of the selected prospects.

Click the compose icon on the far right side of the contact you wish to generate content for
Single Prospect View
When you select a single prospect to generate content for, you'll go through two main steps:
Step 1: Select Insights
Select insights to power your content:
You can choose up to eight insights.
The insights shown on the Compose tab are those you've toggled on inside Insight Control.
You can customize these insights and create custom ones (such as job opening trends, competitive technology, or complementary technologies) inside Insight Control. Learn more about customizing insights in the Insight Control Guide.
Click "Continue" to proceed to step two.
Step 2: Customize Your Content
Follow these steps to tailor your content for maximum impact:
1. Persona Value Proposition:
First, confirm or select the persona value proposition you want to use.
The persona value prop helps Autobound differentiate messaging based on who you're reaching out to and which product you're trying to sell. It takes into account the specific pain points and value you offer to that persona.
Autobound automatically chooses the most relevant value prop, but you're free to select a different one if you prefer.
2. Sales Assets:
Choose up to two sales assets you want to incorporate.
Sales assets can be product-specific value props, case studies, or other custom inputs.
These assets allow you to highlight specific features, benefits, or success stories that resonate with your prospect's needs and challenges.
Autobound suggests the most relevant assets, but you can manually select alternatives.
3. Writing Style:
Select a writing style that matches your voice or suits your audience.
This helps maintain consistency in your communication and ensures the tone aligns with your brand and the prospect's expectations.

4. Additional Information:
Add any extra context or instructions for the AI to consider.
This is valuable for including specific details about the prospect or your offering that might not be captured in the standard insights or assets.
You can save additional information prompt templates for reuse, streamlining future content generation for similar scenarios.
5. Advanced Settings:
Click "Advanced Settings" to fine-tune your content generation:
Adjust the number of outputs generated (between 1 and 3). Reducing this can help conserve credits while still providing options.
Set your desired word count to ensure the content fits your needs (e.g., short and punchy or more detailed).
Select the language for your output, enabling multilingual outreach when necessary.
6. Content Type: Choose the type of content you want to generate, based on your outreach strategy:
Email
Connection request
SMS
Call script
Opener
Custom content (specify your requirements)
Each type is optimized for its specific use case, ensuring your message is appropriate for the medium and goal.
7. Generate Content:
Once you've made all your selections, click "Generate Content" and wait for it to be produced.
Autobound will create personalized content based on all the inputs you've provided, tailored to your specific prospect and objectives.
Editing Generated Content
After content generation, you can:
Hover over outputs to modify them using buttons (shorten, lengthen, make more casual, etc.).
Type custom instructions for edits, entering a chat interface with Autobound's AI.
Click the blue lightbulb icon next to each output to see which insights were used to power that specific content. This helps you understand where the data is coming from and what you might want to edit.
Using Generated Content
Once you're satisfied with the generated and edited content:
Click the copy button in the top right corner to copy the content.
Paste the content into your desired system where you want to send the content.
Highlight to Enrich Content Feature
Autobound offers a powerful Highlight to Enrich Content feature, allowing users to enhance specific portions of their pre-written text with personalized content. This feature works similarly to the full content generation process but focuses on enriching selected text that you've already composed.
Here's how to use this feature:
Highlight the specific pre-written text you want to enrich within your email or message.
Upon highlighting, you'll see options to:
Adjust the length of the message
Modify the tone
Select "AI Enrich"
If you choose "AI Enrich", you'll be presented with options to:
Select the insights you want to leverage
Choose the value proposition
Pick relevant sales assets
Add any additional information you want to incorporate
After making your selections, click "Enrich Content".
Autobound will then take your highlighted pre-written text and seamlessly weave in personalization while maintaining the key points of your original message.
This feature allows for more targeted personalization, giving you control over which parts of your pre-written message receive AI-driven enhancements while preserving your core content.
Turning Off Autobound Injection
If you prefer not to have Autobound injected across your various sales tools:
Click the Autobound icon in your extension list in the top right corner of your Chrome browser.
Toggle off the option that says "enable for [website]".
