What Are Website Intelligence Signals?

Website intelligence signals automatically detect changes to a company's website, the most authoritative expression of its current strategy, pricing, and product portfolio. A new pricing page signals a go-to-market shift; a SOC 2 page signals an enterprise push; a new product landing page signals expansion.

Autobound monitors company websites monthly and detects 4 change types: pricing page modifications (tier restructuring, price changes, new plans), compliance and security page additions (SOC 2, GDPR, HIPAA, ISO 27001), new product or feature launches, and homepage messaging changes. These are high-confidence buying signals because they reflect deliberate strategic decisions: a company does not accidentally add a GDPR compliance page. The same changes power competitive intelligence, like a competitor raising prices in a tier where you are more competitive.

How we build this signal

How we build each website intelligence signal

A website-monitoring partner reports changes it finds on company websites. We map every report to one vocabulary and check it before it ships.

  1. 01

    Source

Each delivery from our partner lists website changes per company: the type of change in free text, a description, the evidence, the source URL and the date.

  2. 02

    Classification

Each free-text change type is matched against fixed phrase lists for 37 named subtypes, such as product launch, pricing change or executive change. A type that matches no list closely enough is filed as other.

  3. 03

    Validation

A record ships only with a valid domain, a company name and a known subtype. Anything else is set aside in a quarantine file.

  4. 04

    Dedup and delivery

Firmographics are joined by domain. Each record is fingerprinted on domain, subtype and date, so the same change does not ship twice.

Frequently asked questions

What are website intelligence signals?
Website intelligence signals detect meaningful changes to company websites, including pricing page updates, compliance page additions, new product launches, and messaging shifts. Autobound monitors 2M+ company websites monthly and uses AI to classify changes by significance and type, turning website evolution into actionable sales intelligence.
How does Autobound detect website intelligence signals?
Autobound crawls company websites on a monthly cadence, comparing current pages against prior snapshots. AI models identify meaningful changes versus routine updates, classify changes by category (pricing, compliance, product, messaging), and score their significance. Each signal includes before/after context and the specific pages that changed.
How should I use website intelligence data in my outreach?
Website changes are strong intent signals because they represent deliberate strategic decisions. A pricing page update suggests a go-to-market pivot. A compliance page addition signals enterprise readiness. Reference the specific change to show you are paying attention, like 'I noticed you recently added SOC 2 certification to your site,' and connect it to a need your product addresses.
